As Hudson Pride Center’s Director of Learning and Inclusion, Dr. David Rosen’s primary responsibilities are the development and statewide delivery of professional trainings and technical assistance aimed at enhancing delivery of LGBTQ+ and HIV affirming client services at healthcare centers, social service agencies, academic institutions and other public/private sector organizations. In addition, he also provides grant development, clinical oversight and counseling assessments. Before taking on this new role at HPC in 2025, David served as HPC’s Clinical Director from 2001-2024 and currently chairs the Hudson County Ryan White HIV Planning Council’s Education Committee. He earned his Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University in 2012, his MSW from Rutgers University in 1996 and has been a practicing NJ-Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1998.
Over the course of his 30+ year social work career, David has also worked as a part-time Lecturer at Rutgers University and Arizona State University, served as the Assistant Director for AIDS Education at UMDNJ, provided intensive out-patient substance abuse counseling for youth and families and delivered home care-based medical case management to HIV+ clients and older adults. Originally from NYC, David now resides in Jersey City with his husband of 23 years and their two rather destructive (yet lovable) cats. The irony of a trained Behavioral Health Provider being unable to keep two cats from continuously wreaking havoc on household furniture has not gone unnoticed by his husband – or the cats.
