David Rosen has been the Clinical Director for Hudson Pride Center since 2001. Dr. David Rosen’s primary responsibilities include clinical oversight and supervision of HPC programs, staff and interns, delivery of LGBTQ+ affirming care training for providers, agencies and public institutions and new program development/grant writing. His other responsibilities include providing brief triage counseling, coming out support and HRT counseling to HPC clients, chairing the Hudson County Ryan White HIV Education Committee and participating as a member of the Jersey City Mayor’s LGBTQ Task Force. A New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 1998, David earned his MSW from Rutgers University in 1996 and his Doctorate in Behavioral Health (DBH) from Arizona State University in 2012. His professional interests include advancing HIV/LGBTQ+ social justice and reducing stigma-based health disparities, but in his personal life, he is all about reading trashy gay romance novels, visiting wineries and attending theater. Originally from NYC, David has been living in Jersey City for over 20 years with his husband and their two rather destructive (yet lovable) cats. The irony of a trained Behavioral Health Provider being unable to keep two cats from continuously wreaking havoc on household furniture has not gone unnoticed by his husband – or the cats.
