CJ King (He/They) is the Client Services Navigator at Hudson Pride Center, where he supports the planning and implementation of HIV/AIDS outreach and linkage to care programs. Their role focuses on ensuring that members of the LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected community—especially those recently diagnosed with HIV or who have fallen out of care—receive the highest level of support and assistance. He works to engage and connect individuals in Hudson County to HIV care and supportive services, prioritizing those newly diagnosed or out of care. Through their role, CJ also collaborates with local service providers, organizations, and committees including the HIV Planning Council, HIV Planning Group, and Community Network Association.
A passionate advocate and community organizer, CJ holds a BA in Individualized Study from NYU’s Gallatin School, where they focused on K–12 education and the school-to-prison pipeline. With experience in policy research, legislative advocacy, and youth programming, he has contributed to organizations such as Equality NY, Urban Justice Center, GLSEN, and the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund—working to advance protections for marginalized communities.
