Colleen Fluellen serves as the Youth Program Coordinator at Hudson Pride Center, where she leads the LGBTQ+ Youth Connect program with passion and purpose. Her work centers on designing vibrant, inclusive, and empowering workshops, events, and discussions that provide LGBTQ+ youth with opportunities for self-expression, connection, and growth.
Born and raised in Jersey City, Colleen embodies the strength and diversity of her community. Her professional background spans healthcare, aviation, and staffing, reflecting her adaptability and dedication to serving others. A proud graduate of Snyder High School, she was an active member of the school’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance (Tiger’s Den). Colleen later earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Ultimate Medical Academy, equipping her with the skills to lead with both empathy and expertise.
Colleen’s journey with Hudson Pride Center is deeply personal. In 2009, she joined the Youth Connect program as a participant, finding a community that embraced her with open arms, fostered her confidence, and supported her growth. Today, she comes full circle as the program’s coordinator, creating the same safe and affirming environment that shaped her own path.
Returning to Hudson Pride Center in this capacity is more than a job—it’s a homecoming and a chance to pay it forward. Colleen is proud to be part of the Hudson Pride team, helping to empower and inspire the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth while continuing to give back to the community that helped her thrive.
