Luie Perez (they/them/theirs) is a Health Educator at Hudson Pride Center, where they support the health and wellness needs of LGBTQ+ youth across Hudson County. In this role, Luie partners with local schools to provide affirming education, training, and resources for students, educators, and staff, helping to build safer and more inclusive environments for queer and trans youth.
Luie also works closely with parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ children through Hudson Pride’s Family Ties programming, strengthening family connections and promoting understanding, support, and affirmation at home.
A Bayonne native, Luie brings an intersectional, community-centered approach to their work, informed by lived experience as a resource family and a deep understanding of the importance of diverse family systems and equitable access to care. They hold a Master of Public Health and are a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), with professional experience delivering health education across school based, community, and home based settings throughout Hudson and Bergen Counties.
Outside of work, Luie enjoys painting Warhammer miniatures, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and exploring storytelling through comic books.
