Silvia Ramirez Quiroz (she/her/ella) is a Behavioral Health Specialist at the Hudson Pride Center. She is a licensed social worker in the state of New Jersey and is responsible for providing mental health services and supporting the overall well-being of LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected clients. Silvia’s work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a trauma-informed approach that honors each client’s unique experiences. She takes pride in creating safe and affirming environments where individuals can access the care they deserve. Whether through therapy, crisis intervention, or connecting clients to vital health resources, Silvia strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive support that uplifts both individuals and the larger Hudson County community.

Silvia earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Montclair State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Drew University. Her areas of expertise include working with LGBTQ+ individuals, Latinx and migrant youth, and conducting research on supports for youth aging out of foster care. Raised in Jersey City, Silvia is a proud advocate for the Hudson County and LGBTQ+ communities. Outside of work, she enjoys knitting and crocheting, reading, going for walks, and connecting with friends.
